Hooray - I now have a DeviantArt Subscription!! Thanks to a very sweet and generous friend. (A thousand thank you's)
Its been a year since I posted my first work here, and I've said this many times but I've really enjoyed using DA- As artists its rare for us to find people of like mind that share similar experiences. I really do appreciate the friendship, artistic confidence and inspiration so many of my DA friends give me. Thank You All!!!

I've done more work since I began here, than in the years before. I'm excited to try out all the features that I haven't had before.

and since I love talking music and movies-

New Music I've recently purchased

Dust- Peter Murphy (from Bahaus) - this is the album that so fits the mood I've been in.

Cat Power- Jukebox - I like her earlier sparser stuff better but this album is really good.

Tom Waits - BigTime - One of my favorite cassettes I finally updated to CD.

WHO'S Seen "CLOVERFIELD"? This movie is REALLY good. Other than some people getting nauseous in the audience because of the constant shaky camera work.

SWEENEY TODD- It was good, (some darn good gore) although it seemed to lack a little of the humor and quirkiness that's in the original musical, and I would have expected in a Tim Burton film.

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN- I usually don't like slow moving movies, but I really liked this. I think it may be a little overrated but that guy who played the killer deserves every award he gets.

AND FINALLY - as I post this TWO DAYS UNTIL LOST returns. Damn I love that show...anyone else going to be watching?

I saw "No Country for Old Men," and I definitely agree about the actor who played the killer.

Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark.
And a large group of professionals built the Titanic.
I've been wanting to check out the Peter Murphy... I will have to now!

So everyone either loves or hates Cloverfield... I so don't know what to think. hrrrmmmm.... maybe if I keep thinking it over I'll miss it in theatres and then I'll just have to netflix it and then no big deal if i hate it, right? ahhh, the wonders of indecision.

The Peter Murphy is great - it has a real kind of middle-eastern feel..sort of like Bauhaus combined with Dead Can Dance.

I really recommend Cloverfield. I'm pretty sure you'll like it. Although a warning- dont go if you are having a headache. -The shakiness is pretty rough on the eyes at times.
Thanks I've discovered some great music from friends on DA.
Thank you- there's so much to Discover.
Im going to see Sweeny Todd.. I dont expect it to be funny or quirky.. its advertised as a very dark movie. and Im totally going to enjoy seeing JD in a VERY different role AGAIN... he's so awesomely diversable

"Whoops" is a word that should never be said by some professions - Pilots, Racing car drivers, and hair colourists come immediately to mind but Dentists also have to be up in the top five .

Flying is simple, just throw yourself at the ground, and miss
I'm sure you will really like it!! Johnny Depp is pretty great, and I think Alan Rickman is great to watch no matter what he's in!
